Must be another blasted radial tire that fails when the tread is only half worn out!!! A friend of mine who worked in a gas station said he’d never yet seen a ‘bald’ radial tire! They ALWAYS fail for some other reason first!!
I have taken them to an aneurysm and once to a blow-out. They can be driven to baldness, but it is not wise to do so.
