Each generation thinks the other generation has it wrong, each party thinks the other party is worse…and they are correct. The lizards are ruling because it does not occur to the people to vote them out. They vote for a lizard so the wrong lizard won’t get in.

I think we ought to start fresh, if that is even possible.

Actually both sides are overspenders. The difference is who they want to spend the money on, and how they’re going to pay for it.

Tax and Spend Democrats, or Fighting 2 wars without budgeting the expenses Republicans.

It never was much of a question; I think that dichotomy served to tell the public that they actually had a choice. Meanwhile the politicians are best-buddies behind closed doors, or at least financed by the same interests. Not unlike WWF wrestling.

You could watch PBS except every half hour you are reminded their educational funding was cut to zero.

All politicians are nutjobs regardless of party affiliation. The rhetoric may sound different, but the goals are identical. To establish and maintain their power base. Unfortunately, real people are always hurt. Worse, a lot of people actually buy into the rhetoric thinking that it resembles reality. None of it ever does.

We ALL spend too much money – look around at your OWN home and SEE if there are things that you really do NOT need – just things you bought because you WANTED them.

Things won’t get better until we stop letting politicians bribe us with our own tax dollars – or with the inflation that happens when taxes are overspent.

The system works fine! It is human nature to be greedy and to lie for your own power. That’s the genius of our Constitution, they knew that back then! It is up to us to control THEM, not to hope they will do the right thing.

The founders were very smart. the whole idea about the right to bear arms. The saying that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns is very true. They want to grab the guns so we can’t rebel, then they, the outlaws, will be the only ones with guns.

Not that I am advocating armed rebellion, but the threat that it could happen, should(it doesn’t) keep them on their toes.

It is really sad how many sheeple we have in this country, on all sides.

Politics is far too important to be left to politicians. You want to clean up the political system? Make it so nobody can buy a nomination, pass a law that if the national deficit goes over a certain percentage of the GDP no sitting member in either house is eligible for re-election and take away the governments right to exempt themselves from what the enforce on the rest of the US. That means the get Social Security and Medicare like everyone else. For the rest of it, remember Shakespeare’s advice: “First, Kill all the Lawyers.” Or at least ban them from politics.
