Best comic today…we can never forget that the Bush Doctrine (economic as well as foreign policy) is exactly where Mittens and the Repugs wish to return this nation. People need to face up to this, and also realize that, hint as he may, Mittens really has no ideas (except for some weird austerity for the poor, and increased war positions) with which to make the economy turn around any faster than Obama has done.
This economy has gone way past the tipping point. Mittens’ magic underwear cant do anything about that. Austerity measures will only make people suffer. Likewise, increased taxes aren’t going to address the deficit in any meaningful way…but they will help to offset the immediate needs of the homeless.. Medicare for all would help.
The economic can WILL have to be kicked down the road until a worldwide currency collapse at which time currency will probably be reconnected to something of meaningful value, such as gold.
(gee, “Mittens and the Repugs” does sound like a boy band, doesn’t it?)
How many people can HONESTLY say that they are better off under 0bama than they were under Bush?.During much of Bush’s presidency US enjoyed theoretical full employment, in spite of almost $1 trillion hit to our economy on Sept 11, and in spite of the two consequent wars . . . . ..And gas was about $1.90/gallon . . . . the good old days?
