Jason: Mom, this place is great! They give you stuff for free! Andy: What are you talking about?! Jason: You just tell them your room number and you can have anything you want! Andy: Jason, it's not free! They're just putting it on our bill! Jason: Oops. Andy: Why didn't I pack aspirin? Paige: Get some at the gift shop, everything's free.

Isn’t that the Star Trek logo on the shirt Andy is holding?

Ha ha. I was just thinking, ’Why’d Andie put away or take out a Star Trek shirt?’ And, aw come on, Andie. You’re on vacation. They cost money. (I’ll just assume the kids won’t spend any more than usual.)

Whenever my kids wanted me to buy something, & I said that I didn’t have the money, they told me to go to the ATM machine and get some. After all, those places just gave it away.

The debt society. How is it that mature adults have this view of the Big Nanny Government in DC? Everything comes at a price.

It’s probably Jason’s shirt.Again, this story would make a whole lot more sense if all the problems Andy’s having weren’t the exact same problems she’d have if she’d gotten the vacation she wanted. And I’m sure a hat and virgin daiquiri would cost a lot more at a real resort (probably anyway). Now if the rooms were smelly, the floor was sticky, the place was filled with mosquitos, and “Caribbeany” meant little beans with tropical outfits on, then she might have a point.

Looks like both Andy and Roger are going to be snipping coupons for a while in order to recover all the money they’re spending on this trip.

hmm, when I saw this EXACT joke used on the sitcom “my wife and kids” I chided that show for having some of the stupidest, most unlikeable characters and laziest writing I had ever seen off MTV. It works a little better here though, since it’s just a daily comic strip.

Both Jason and Page are written as minors and therefore a contract cannot exist in most states. And the clerks at the various concessions stands/ gift shops need to know this type of information as it can and has cost there employers in the past.
On the other hand it is the comics so anything is possible…..

Oh dear. Once again, hilarity has ensued at this tourist trap.

This little fake Caribbean vacation is going to end up costing as much if not more than a real Caribbean vacation would have.
