Peter: Mom said I should be nice to you at school.
Voice: Check out the cute, freshman!
Voice 2: Hubba hub
Peter: Back off, guys! She's my sister!
Paige: So when are you going to start?
Peter: Give me time. It's a difficult concept.
I didn’t go to high school with any siblings, but there WAS a cousin who not only ignored me, but flat-out told me that I was not to talk to him when he was with his friends (we were in the same grade). Funny thing is, 30 years later he’s still a jerk.
And the joke actually is that Paige wants the junior boys to fawn over her, and Peter is not only shooting that prospect down, he’s also humiliating her in the process
Since my mom’s uncle was in HS before she was out fo diapers, that was never an issue for them, but her sister only 2 years older was very protective. .Funny thing is at only 5 & 3 my kids have the “only I can boss ’em” down pretty pat. My daughter is protective of her little brother at play groups, “Don’t take that toy away from him, that’s not nice!” but at home, it’s yank “Mine.” “I was playing with that!” “give it to me!”

I was told my freshman mother was treated as invisible by my senior uncle Thomas.

Frankly, that WAS pretty nice of a big brother. Even claiming relationship, let alone to a crowd. My real question is …. “Hubba hubba?” Really?

“Hubba hubba” I assume Amend just wanted to be whacky. I can’t believe he’d be that out of touch, though, perhaps somewhere they might yet say that.

I was out of high school by the time my sister started, and now my two youngest sisters are in high school together.

I had a cousin in college who asked me not to use the diminutive at college that we used to call him at home.
Darned if I didn’t keep forgetting through four full years!

My freshman mother’s senior brother did the same thing, even would cross the street if he saw her, so she says anyway

I’m 74 and hubba hubba might have been around in my parents’ time. Next it’ll be something pithy about bee’s knees.

This is the only time I can recall Paige getting lustful attention from older boys. And she’s not even dressed provocatively.
