I’ve also noticed that it takes me such a long time to go through my list of comics. I suppose I could stop reading the comments [yeah, that’s going to happen] or I could cut back. But I’ve already cut out the ones that no longer appealed to me for some reason or other. What to do, what to do.
StelBel, Beviek, Serena’s Kitty, and probably others here….Me too!Yes, it takes a huge chunk of my time just to get through the comics. I can certainly understand if someone says “I have to be gone for a while,” which No. Six did post in a couple of places. But Essex said, more or less, “This has to come to an end. Bye bye.” with no further explanation. That’s a scary thing for someone to say, and I don’t like the things it makes me imagine.Maybe he didn’t realise that; maybe it was for dramatic effect… but I sure hope that’s all.As for me, I have about 45 strips on my favorites page. I read them all, but these days only read about half those forums, and comment on maybe half those, or even fewer when I’m busy.At those times, if I know there will be 80 or 150 dead serious comments I’m less likely to go there than if there are probably only a dozen or two, with room for a joke.Sometimes there are just too many links to “cute” this and “interesting” that for me to even open them all.Or I do, but if it’s a song or a video clip, I watch only a bit of it. When people say “Look at today’s BC,” or some other strip, I mean to, but often don’t. And when someone says “click here” with no explanation…. well…. my first thought is “tell me why, please.”So it’s a compliment to Essex that I usually check out all his links, cos they’re always germane. He’s a smart, funny guy — and I hope he comes back. And Essex… if you read this….you better pick me up in that Hawk!

Monica does things the old fashioned way. It’s how she and Gene were raised.

I cannot figure why he’d leave such a jolly bunch with such vivid imaginations…

Marg – Presuming you mean Essex, it’s spooky. I wish someone at least knew his name or had his e-mail address.

Wonder if she’s got twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one
