Good morning village..How be all of you this “fine” day.Kind of a gray ol day here, it’s raining, but on wind (that means the trees arn’t beating on the power lines).I just got myself five more Roy Rogers movies and ten episodes of the “Roy Rogers Show” in a box set.Last I knew The Roy Rogers Show was on RFD TV..Driving a round all day dosn’t give me much time to check gocomics and keep in touch with everybody so you all have a ripping good day..ttfn
We’ve been watching the really old John Wayne movies. They ran them a while ago on some movie channel, and we watch one every other day or so. these were filmed in 1933 and 1934. The first one we saw……he was wearing a BLACK hat!!!! Oh no!!! But, he really was the good guy.
They’re only about an hour or less long, and really quite fun.
Had our welcome back brunch community association meeting this AM, at the lake here. Their still trickling in fromFl. and other points South. We relected the same pres., vp,secretary and treasure from last year and said our “hi’s” toone another. cool here barely 70, as the water temp is only 68it tends to keep things cool till about the end of June or so.Ya’ll have a nice weekend……………….
G’day Vagabonds. Got out early this morning to get some work done before the heat got too bad. It was already 94 when I finished at about 9:30, and is well over 100 right now. Good day to stay inside.
New truism learned today: A box cutter works much better with a fresh blade. LOL
I like it here better then in Espanol. I have my routine here at A-Z, and it’s right on the pathway. Saves a bit of time.>>>>>>@JanCinLV. Yesterday was a record-setter here in Tucson,107, In the part of town where I live, it usually runs a couple of degrees higher. Only times I go out are Doc. appointments and grocery store. Do a bit of mail-order some-times. Seems the older I get, the narrower my comfort zone gets?
Good Afternoon (3:42 p.m. Eastern DST): I have just taken a look at the webcam in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and the ocean looks like a big lake! I should run over to the Ocean Sky Hotel (a former Ramada) about a mile south of the camera and see if they are still renting kayaks that you can take out into the ocean – I have done this in the past.
