to jwbriggs…the ones I saw in 1965 were apparently chasing each other when they crossed a wire in the middle of a residential street. It ruined my day.
I love LD’s encounters with squirels and the pack-rat, the regular rat, the rabbits and others, like the skunk and the possums.this one squirill, skweeril, ,,echh, ..seems to be semi-suidcidal.

FPL replace many a transformer in our neighborhood because of fried squirrel. At least 2 every year.

Interesting…..the squirrels in my block run the wires all the time. They don’t go near the transformers. No crispy critters here.
