    Today’s strip is using the hats to show how Andy frequently falls into the canal, but since Andy is never without his hat, it doesn’t make much sense.

    He has been falling into the water for whatever reason since I first read the strip when I was in England in the Air Force back in 1961. I think you have to have gone and spent time there to understand Andy!
