Shouldn’t the cellar door be blocked with something like, say, Andy and/or Chalkie sitting on it? The barkeeper needs an assistant barkeeper to prevent things like this from happening.
This actually happened many years ago to a new bartender at the White Horse Tavern in NYC. He gone down to change a keg, foolishly closing the trap door behind him, then couldn’t get it opened. The bar was packed so no one heard his shouts and neither of the other bartenders realized he’d gone down to the cellar. He was there for several hours keeping the rats company.
After the way MU blew it this year, were I Andy, I’d be throwin me caps in the canal. Though I definitely don’t bleed Chelsea Blue, good on ‘em for beating Bayern Munich in a thriller penalty kick ending.Two great matches for teams thought out of the running – Man City and Chelsea. Even though I’m a Man U fan, I was glad to see Man City finally get one.BTW Manchester United colors were originally green, so Andy probably was a Manchester fan ( I hope so!)
I don’t particularly like NBA basketball for a variety of reason, too lengthy to go into here, but I heartily concur. A tier system based on merit, with attendant television exposure, might change the attitude of a lot of teams – perhaps help poor Kobe with his hapless and sometimes hopeless teammates.
