By the way, for a really nice Memorial Day strip, check out today’s “Mutts.”

VERY dissappointing! Haven’t read GA for some time, but checked in today because Memorial (Decoration) day and Vets Day has always had a tribute. So sad. Seems GA has really gone south. No more for me, Thank you. At least Pluggers and Red and Rover still believe in patriotism.

Jim was just giving us a chance to say it first!

As we go about our lives let’s remember our Vets everyday, not just twice a year.

I’m surprised there isn’t a Memorial Day tribute. While we’re at it, PLEASE end this stupid storyline.

I just got back from attending two local Memorial Day services; maybe JS is saving the Memorial Day strip for the Traditional Memorial Day, on Wednesday.

I agree that I am disappointed that there was NO Memorial Day observance from Gasoline Alley again this year!

I checked back, and, as nearly as I can tell, it appears to me that the LAST time that Gasoline Alley remembered Memorial was on May 28, 2007! I can’t help but wonder what is up when so many holidays, which were previously observed on Gasoline Alley, are no longer remembered.

Don’t know if this will work for everyone, but the Link which Go Comics recommends for folks who want to have a look at the May 28, 2007 strip is as follows:

Surprised me also. I expected to Skeezix to make an appearance with a tribute as he usually does on Memorial Day.

When you consider how much heat Jim took over the Us Army and Medal of Honor commemorative coins in the comments here, and how people went after the previous storylines concerning fundraising for the World War II memorial maybe he just decided to play it safe this time around. Who could blame him? Okay this bunch could blame him.
