“Eh? So what?”Not the sort of reaction you expect from someone who just found out his three other band members died in a car bombing. I guess that wasn’t his only source of income, and that they weren’t all good buddies.
Whaddya mean, “sewwot”? Not at all concerned that the other three members of your quartet just got blown up? Sounds suspicious to me. I’m sure I’d have a lot of questions for you down at the friendly station. Your lawyer will get there in due course….
Mumbles is a grudge-nursing bastard.I, however, am frankly a little tired of this Gould’s characters rehashing, Why not come up with some state of the art villain? Are we playing nostalgia or revival? As for the new villains, I just love Blaze Rize. Doubleuo is interesting. Moonchild was fit for a Nancy Drew novel, though. And Cadaver? I’m aware of the zombie craze in graphic novels, but I think this character is definitely out of place in a realistic (up to a poin) strip! I’d love to see a Financial Pirate tycoon as a villain. Or a fundamentalist (not necessarily Muslim, see Breivik ) terrorist. Or a homophobic psychopatic stalker. I mean, we all love those old Goud’s carachters, but they’re OLD. We’re in a different century, and there are different issues.
I think Panda set Mumbles up…not that he isn’t going to hang himself. “Eh? Sewwot?” I’ve known guys in bands … if you come to hate someone you once played with, you don’t say, ‘So What’. More like, “Finally! Are you sure?”

Mumbles tried to blow his band up back in the day. Now he can go solo in a cell.

I don’t think Mumbles is going to “sing” during questioning. Panda would not be a happy camper…

Colorist Mistake. I would guess:
How come Tracy’s coat didn’t turn a darker color while his face is black ? Even Mumbles red hair was black when he was out of the light in panel 2.

Is it especially noticeable today, or has Mumbles always looked like Peter Lorrie?

Mumbles is using those little directional lights, probably why Tracy is so well shadowed.
