The U.S. Navy taught us recruits that the only stupid question is the one you fail to ask. In other words, it’s better to ask a “stupid” question (and maybe get laughed at) than to not ask and then possibly DO something stupid (and potentially lethal) out of ignorance.

I withdrew the comment…. I have a MIL that lives with us and has mild dementia….. asks frequently what day it is, where is her pocketbook… when is she going home… You are right…. it is no joke and it does break your heart…

Grant’s tomb is a mausoleum, and the bodies are kept above ground. In order to be “buried”, the bodies have to be below ground.
