I have so much trouble staying in the present moment…. I just keep floating away…I’m not sure where I go, but I really should stay home and keep an eye out.My neighbor said she heard terrible roaring noises coming from my living room … like freight trains, she said, or lions. Eeek!I guess I’d better hop to t!
When I walked past, everything at the hotel seemed quietbut alas…. I was just checking some news feeds on my computer, when what should I see but this: I recognised the address and rushed right over…I did what I could to sober them up and send them off to their rooms…
but you really need to find a new night security person.
Anyway…. Beviek, while Underground MonkeyBlues is out of town….I want to sneak you a copy of what I think is the finished version of the song, for your CowBell Hero presentation.
I mostly fixed a couple of rhymes, and made the verse count match the original.
(I think I embarrassed him enough yesterday, so maybe he shouldn’t see this till he gets to the Parade Grandstand.)
Let me know what you think, and whether it needs tweaking…. and thanks for handling the yurt problem while I was away.
Oh, x_Tech… I should have recognised the Beagle Corps.Still…. there should have been a chaperone…. You don’t want one night of fun giving them a reputation that will dog them all their lives. Those pictures you posted of the sadly fallen kitties two days ago are already all over the internet.Sigh….
at first glance, I thought Bob just scored a touchdown and they were doing a simultaneous leap hip bump.GREAT basset picture , Susan. did you pass this on or is this really your brood?

Jivvy and Grace are certain that Agnes has the grand prize all sewn up for the 82nd annual Ballard St. Pioneer Days Senior Hopscotch Open, but no one is aware that Sally and Bob have been practicing their hopping moves every night for the last 2 months. Yes, the training for this event has been grueling, but Sally has been heard to confide to her dear friend, Bertie, that it “keeps us feeling young and so in the moment …”
(note: we are reconnected to the “information super-highway”, and, with our DSL upgrade, we’re able to travel at the speed of light. In fact, this has already posted, yet I’m still typing it. How can that be, x_Tech???)
Santiago, the centipedal shih tzu, is available to step in for Alvin Aard. He does a mean line dance number and no one can beat him for marching in step.
The Ballard St. School of Hounds (Drum & Beagle Corps) has been given a warning. One more party like that and they’ll have to look for another canine hotel, and that will be difficult!
It started years ago as a thoughtful and kindly, but somewhat misdirected tribute to Nature. Over the years and through countless experiments as to what spoke the loudest, a monthly ritual after a light dinner evolved. Now at each full moon and as early in the morning as possible, to avoid prying eyes, Sally and Bob hop their way to blissful exhaustion, follow by root beer floats and jelly bellies. Life is good on Ballard Street.
It’s a tried-and-true strategy that Sally & Bob are employing. Engage in an activity that could break your neck if you screw it up, in order to focus your mind more on the here-and-now.

I have it on good authority that there were no Colombian Chiwawas at their celabration.
It’s just a case of good old puppy play.

Ten seconds later, Sally was suddenly knocked unconscious. She now regrets taking off her bra before the hop.

Glad you enjoy the photos! You, too, can work this “magic”!!!!!! It’s as easy as putting a link in, and you can do that with no problem!

Well, I do know what you mean. But, speaking of Legs D., he and his crew are in town this week-end. You remember…P. Pup Piddle…
and, DawgGone Golden…
and, of course, Legs D., himself…
