The relationship between Bobby and Dinny is decidedly creepy, and it was before Darby arrived. It’s as though they are using her as a cover. Lini is far more open about his sexuality.Gil needs to step in and talk to these two crypto-homos immediately, if not sooner.
Lureman, I think we’re supposed to be bothered. But part of the fun of reading this strip is that Milford is the way towns were when Neal (and most of us who post here) were growing up. The moms in panel 2 look like they should be discussing laxatives.
And even more disturbing is the fact there appear to be no fathers left in Milford. I may have to start buying into the alien conspiracy that runs throughout this strip.
Cackling Hens. People who live in glasss houses should not throw stones and, Black Cars look better in the shade. Chip, they may also be discussing that not so fresh feeling. Remember the Massengill commercials from the ’80’s. AArrrggh!
Dude, visit the bible belt. The haters in the stands would be the “liberals”, the redneck contingent wouldn’t even show up to the game where teenage mom is playing…
what No Habla said – very true. Stupider and more obtuse stuff is said about less dramatic subjects on a daily basis down here. Such brilliant "knowledge"as detailed discussions about how water can be used as auto fuel but the gub’ment is suppressing it, and how Noah plowed his fields with Brontosaurus (Apatasaurus to evolution believers) before they were wiped out by the Flood.
yeah . . . this story arc would be intellectual dialogue in the Bible Belt.

I wonder how many of those moms got married the week after HS graduation and had five-month “premature” babies.

Well, these moms would know how backstabbing and gossipy some moms can be.
