One of the things, and there are many, that bug me about cell phone companies is, they come out with a new phone the day after I lock myself into a 2 year contract with what was new yesterday. And if I want to upgrade, they charge me $600. Tin can and a string, anyone?
Well I have my original Nokia, from 2004 from when my first born went off to college. No bells and whistles, but I can text and talk and make phone calls. When the battery finally dies on it, I’m screwed, because they don’t make them anymore. Think about it, 2004 to 2012, and knock on wood, “it will keep on keepin’ on”! Serves my purposes for what I need.

The cell phone companies want you to buy a new one every 6 months.

Six months?? That’s way too long to have a phone! You have to get a new phone every week to really keep up!!

I’m one of the few people I know who doesn’t have a smart phone. In fact, my phone seems to have only a room temperature IQ.

I have what I call a “stupid” phone…I can only make and receive calls on it. What a concept!!
