One of my dogs learned how to open the back gate. So, we tied the latch with a piece of clothesline. She promptly untied it and opened the gate. We had to buy a kiddy lock for the gate until we could teach her to only open it on command. It did help when my hands were full.

Been there a few times with my dogs. They’ve become escape artists, so I can’t leave them without supervision anymore.

Once she calms down she will be glad you are okay. Good thing they didn’t get into the dumpster – that could be disaster…..
