Some people put a big dish of kibble out and the dog just eats what he wants — and the kibble lasts for a long time.
I don’t do this but I’ve seen numerous other people who did.
If I increase my dog’s food by a few ounces, after a few days he won’t even eat all of it.

Dogs are indeed a great expense and responsibility. Be sure to consider that before you think about getting a puppy just because it’s cute.
