Yeah, Leaky, and like any family….. we have a few “relatives” we….ssshhhh… just don’t talk about….

That reminds me….. Marg just called… So happy they think she’s well enough to use the phone….She wants me to post for her:“EWWW, Burl!”

You can tell she’s still a little over-emotional.

Boy, ya can’t have them litttle kids getting any of that there Shriners candy. They wouldn’t appreciate it, and besides we NEED to get it all.Considering today’s news, Burl’s hand positioning is very creepy, but I’m going to believe that he’s getting ready to swoop down into the kid’s bag and steal the Heath Bar his Mom gave him.

My husband’s hometown is a tiny little village in Wisconsin. But at their fourth of July parade, the kids go home with shopping bags full of candy, stuffed animals, and cartons of both white and chocolate milk (it’s Wisconsin, after all). I’ve never seen anything like it. People come from all over for that parade.

So; the 4th of July Parade(s) (sometime localities will vary start times) is the start of the Penny’s Haloween Candy Drive……..hit a few festivals……..a Labor Day Parade…….????

Nah, this candy won’t see Bastille Day.

There’s a Maslow Variant for the Pennys:1. Base: Get something.2. Middle: Get more of something.3. Upper: Get all of something.4. Pinnacle: Take something away from a child.

the bank down the street moved the candy bowls from the service counters to inside of the tellers’ cages…adults were coming in and dumping them into their purses, etc. today’s vignette is Not that unique. sady.

I see myself in this strip occasionally, But even I’m not this bad. The kids get a lot of candy in our town parades and my wonderful grandchildren will share their Tootsie Rolls – the only thing I ask for. The biggest treat the parade passes out are cans of Coke.

Is there any place that identifies your characters and their relationships?

I’m hearing violins. They sound rather small though.

Burl’s not playing his cards right. There will be more candy thrown their way if the kids are on the curb and not back at the park. I imagine he can wrestle more than his fair share of candy from the kids.
