    Back around 1985 or so, a guy decided to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the county by inviting all of the families presently living here to send in biographical sketches, especially if they could prove they’d been here a while. []Books like that make things so much easier.

    Nowadays with people having kids with every other person with no thought to marriage there’s hardly any way to trace anything except directly through the mother. It’s sickening.

    I’m told my mother’s side is related to Lord Denning of England. My father’s side is related to James Monroe. I wish I had proof of it all.

    My uncle traced our English side back to the first baby born on the Mayflower in Cape Cod….Peregrine White Jr…. (B-Nov 20, 1620 / D-July 20,1704)…. ! ! !

    One of my early ancestors was involved in a peace treaty with Zwingli, in 1529. It’s a story that rings true.
