    When Caufield is my age, the future will actually start feeling like the future. But, the point of the strip is that educators have to find a way to bring the lessons of the past into a future that is largely unknowable, in a way that sticks in the minds of the little nippers….

    Caufield, no, but I bet he’s wondering what’s holding up our flying cars and rocket packs…..Hey, that’s what we were promised! And what do we get instead? Instant access to all the knowledge in the world at the touch of a button on a tiny machine on our lap! Stupid world!
