There is very little more uncomfortable than helping a friend move (I’ve done it a few times). This would be even more so in Mona’s case, where there is the uneasy potential of a romantic involvement developing….
This all depends on where he’s moving to. Across town or across the country, each could get a very different reaction.

My guess is he’s moving back to France and that’s why he doesn’t need any help.
