I love how Hobbes is playing possum in the first panel. BTW, I like it when my name plays a part in this strip.

Because Calvin actually believes that in his own little world, Hobbes is alive. Mom probably knows that he thinks that as well.

Actually, Hobbes is real. Calvin and Hobbes is a very clever strip about two parents, a young girl, and various other people, all of whom have wild imaginations that cause them to think that a real tiger is only a stuffed animal. The only one who sees the truth is a young space traveler from distant planets, named Spiff. Bill Watterson, you’re a genius.

I remember that great song that Calvin wrote as an adult “Hobbes the Magic Tiger”.“Noble kings and princes would bow when e’r they came”.

We’d all love a friend like Hobbes. Wouldn’t life be wonderful?

A sunstorm is comeing today…. Hobbes is high – bouncing!!! Save who can!!!

In this tigers are much like human women.

Hoo, hoo, hoo does sound like Tigger. Instead of being a bouncer, he’s a pouncer. Get him Hobbes!

Calvins right the cat family goes from sleep to attack with out a get ready button .

He didn’t see that coming!

Just because Hobbes lives the good life in “captivity” (aka: Calvin’s house), that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t still keep up on his jungle-like tiger/prey reflexes . . . just in case! You never know when you might get lost in the woods behind your house and need those skills to survive until a certain little boy and/or his parents come to find and rescue you!!!!! ;-)

Calvin is safe from getting eaten—Hobbes knows that little boys don’t always taste (or smell) so good…

@piloti: Generally, I only post on Calvin and Hobbes, but once in a while when I post some Peanuts strips here that might be of interest to Peanuts fans (historical comparisons, etc.), I then go to Peanuts and let the posters there know to check out Calvin and Hobbes that day.
