    But eating on the sofa creates more mess that will need to be vacuumed, requiring more energy, increasing his carbon footprint. So don’t use a plate but eat outside.Oh, and walking to soccer practice is even better – no cars involved at all.

    Hitchhiking to practice doesn’t save gas – it just uses someone else’s.

    I have a question since Tony isnt asking….When you were a kid, did you walk to where you wanted to go, or hitch hike or ride your bike?

    I walked. School, library, the park, church, grocery store, local candy/luncheon shop, the five and dime, Sears and Roebuck, uptown.

    Rode my bike everywhere till I was too cool for that, then I walked.
