Reminds me of the story my mom told me about the little bunny our cat brought up from the woods in the front yard as a “present.” Mom, who was sweeping the porch, swatted the cat in the head with the broom. Cat dropped the bunny on the porch. Took the bunny a moment or two to realize it was free before it scampered back into the woods.
