    Tried that once. Dug down about 4 ft, got tired, fill it with water and settled for swimming hole.

    Tried again the next year – same result.

    Those diagrams in the science textbooks are misleading- the Earth’s crust looks so thin in those tiny little drawings!

    Related: I read once that if you compare the heights of all the mountains and the depths of all the ocean trenches to the diameter of the Earth, the surface is smoother than an orange.

    That’s like a teen preferring to bike or ride the bus everywhere because it’s “too much work” to learn how to drive so they don’t want to. LOL!
