Alice: Dill, you can't be afraid of your own toys! Dill: But it acts so weird. I heard it wandering around the house last night. Alice: That's silly! I'll at it for you! Dill: I think it got in a fight with the vacuum cleaner. There were attachments strewn all over the place this morning. And it was sitting in a corner, all covered in dust. I was going to yell at it, but it twanged a spring at me! HEY, YOU DUMB TOY - yeep. Take it to the playground and leave it in the sandbox. Dill: No! It's the only toy I've got that my brothers haven't broken.

How dare you twang at me, Toy! I think Alice has the right solution, Dill, harsh as it may seem to you.

“All I want for Christmas is a Doodly-Wop” I think (I think!) Art Carney sang that one.

Are the second and third panels reversed?

Looks to me like it’s already broken, Dill!

@joeway Not reversed. Dill has a very long pull-string on the scary toy. Richard does wonderful long panels. Imagine the top row as one long wide screen shot. The panels divide the conversation. Same with second row (2-6)

Is it just me or does this toy seem to resemble Dill? Look at the top spring in the first panel. .Be afraid Dill, be very afraid.

I like how the sound of Alice’s toy changes after the encounter. POP to pip.
