According to a documentary, it all started with the ‘supersizing’ of popcorn in an American cinema. By offering more but charging less than double, consumers went for it and profits hit the roof.
A few months back I did a paper on the whole “fast food is making people fat!” argumentation for one of my marketing classes.[]A lot of the accusations just didn’t hold up under scrutiny. For example, the guy who did “Super-Size Me” never kept a log book or anything else that would actually verify what he ate each day. []In contrast, there was a plethora of evidence to suggest that, if a person was careful, they could include fast food in their diet and remain healthy. This includes two guys who claim to have lost weight by eating fast food; one went for the salads, while another followed a modified version of the Atkins diet and drank tea instead of soda whenever possible.

Do anyone remeber a country western-pop song from the 70’scalled “Junk Food Junkie”? This story arc best sums it up.

I think Nutri-Bot carries his (new) weight rather well. It makes him look friendlier.
