New Irish pub opened near me. Both times I went there, they were out of Guinness draft. Guess where I don’t go again?

When the bartender told me all they had left was Coor’s or Coor’s Light, I was gone…Like a bullet out of a machine gun.

I grew up in Texas drinking Lone Star and Pearl, then the Air Force sent me to Germany when I was 19 years old. I learned there how good beer can be, and 50 years later, I still haven’t found a major American brand that is fit to drink.

Andy’s a loyal beer drinker…I like that.

Coors slogan : “Coors! It’s like making love in a canoe!”

Translation: It’s f***k near water.

That’s the punch line of an old joke that takes about 5 minutes to tell, so you just get the end of it.

Guiness still my favorite. Not too cold and a little flat, long on flavor. On a trip to Oregon I drank a fantastic beer, Haystack Black, they called it a Porter but it wasn’t as heavy as the Porters i have tried.Of the small breweries in California I like Jack Russell, good english style.have always called coors ‘pee water’ and budwieser ‘liquid cardboard’ Pabst is the only watery beer with a smidgen of flavor.

Where’s Andy going to find another pup that will extend him credit?

I have to give a big shout out to my long-time friends Fred and Rita Kraus, owners of Oak Creek Breweries in Sedona, Arizona. If any of you ever get out there, stop in. You won’t be disappointed. Fantastic beers.One of the real pleasure I had when I lived there was when Fred started the brewery and proved that beer wasn’t just for breakfast, anymore.

The local P&S has Mountain Crest on sale for $1.99 a six-pack but they seldom have any in stock.

I thought California was wine country.

That’s a big number, but I have faith in Andy and Chalkie.

Guinness Draught and Guinness Stout (bottle only) are not the same brew. Verified during a trip to the source in Dublin.
