    Not dragging up Hiss again! In My Six Crises, Nixon let the cat out that they had Hiss’ typewriter quite awhile before the “pumpkin papers” were “found”. It was a fairly successful attempt by a Soviet triple agent (Chambers) to discredit the UN after their repeated vetoes only damaged the USSR. After the US became the main user of the veto, the whole matter was quietly dropped.
