Garfield’s analysis is much better though.

The head of cabbage probably is smarter than Jon.

It’s an easy mistake to make, Liz. Although I have to say, the head of cabbage probably has better fashion sense than Jon.

Hey, Jon’s your staff, Garfield, so if you want to avoid such odious comparisons (oh, no, not another of my unintentional puns!), get somebody else…

I know lots of women and girls with a sense of humour, but that’s just who I know. : )

I take extreme offense to that. I’m sorry if the women around you are like that but every woman in my entire life has had a great sense of humor. And why would we be reading these comics if we didn’t.

Sorry to disagree but, I know one or two women with a better sense of humor than even me.

Women must have a great sense of humour. After all – look at what we have to marry.

Whilst it’s true that men and women laugh at different things, it’s easy to understand the other’s sense of humour. Men retain their (our) childish sense of humour much longer than women and you’ll find more men will watch and enjoy childrens’ cartoons than women.

I’m sure Liz found Garfield’s joke funny (if she understood him, that is) but she’d heard it before..I don’t think cats have a sense of humour but dogs definitely do. Maybe that’s why more men seem to be dog people and women tend to gravitate towards cats..Before anyone sends in the correction squad, I must emphasise that this purely my understanding.

They were missouri synod lutherans of German ancestry.THAT explains their alleged lack of sense of humor – not their gender.I can count the number of women I’ve known who are allegedly that non-humorous on one hand. Against how many tens of thousands I’ve met over the years who have rich senses of humor, including many who seem to go to the other extreme and find everything funny…?

The well-humored ones including, by the way, all the Lutherans I’ve ever known – just for the record.

I’d say they have a very similar sense of humor due to their unspoken putting-up-with-Jon relationship
