Thankfully, the one really nasty set frames for that kind of thing broke on me and I had to replace them. They were designed to have the hinge screw screw in from the bottom of the hinge rather than the top. Took me quite a while to figure out why I kept losing the screws so often.
The real problem is that I can’t see the dang things without my glasses on. I have a magnifying glass on a stand that helps with that.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Ain’t that the truth ! That’s my problem too. Fortunately, I have a spare pair of " readers" ( when I can find them) so I can see the screw.

Earl is about to discover “string theory” to hold his glasses on his face—or maybe bandaid theory.

They’re called squewks. And the normally get lost in either the carpet or the sofa. Nasty little buggers. the older I get, the smaller they get !

Duct-tape theory perhaps…
Have to agree with Earl though, those tiny screws are devilish

Remembering where you put that tiny screwdriver is as much a problem.

as someone who has to tighten them on a regular basis, that’s a good idea. Thanks IMudd!

Especially if you are all fingers and thumbs.

super glue works best. you don’t need screws.

My glasses have one set of tiny screws to hold the lenses in, another set in the hinges…. and every one has fallen out
The hinge screw is constantly loosened by motion…. so of course it goes in from the bottom.
None of the holes is big enough for a paper clip …. I’ve temporarily used fine beading wire.
I’ve tried lock-tite and nail polish but if you put either on the hinge screws, they won’t bend.
I’ve also tried screaming.

Grog, my friend…. if you see this…. did you seriously say yesterday (sniffle) that Igor S and I shouldn’t be silly?

One perk of my job is that I have a microscope beside my desk. Gives me a real edge in glasses repair!
