It’s a woman thing. See me, I domesticated a man. He follows behind me through the stores muttering oaths.

Fortunately I’m not married. I can usually have my shopping done in under an hour. But if I were married, I’m sure my Saturday would be shot. It certainly was when I was a kid.

Why on earth are women incapable of doing things on their own? It drives me crazy when women have to have their men with them all the time. I’ve never understood it, and by the way, I have been married for 34 years. I don’t wait to convince my husband to do something—I just go do it.

Greater love hath no man than he who goes shopping at the mall with his significant other ! There is a special place in heaven for the one who accompanies her as she shops for clothing.

We just split up when we get there, he gets to go to Radio Shack and the sporting goods places while I do my thing, then we meet up at Baskin Robbins or Gloria Jean’s and everybody’s happy.

Some people, by nature, can’t enjoy themselves unless they have someone to “be there” with them. (Note: interest or enjoyment is preferred, but not required.) Others honest-to-God enjoy doing things more when they’re on their own..The two groups are utterly incapable of understanding each other — and if one from one group is married to one from the other, all they can do is focus on each other’s admirable qualities that they do understand, and compromise on mutual amused tolerance. (It can work out perfectly well…voice of experience!)

There is a very good reason that shopping malls have a bar ( preferably a sports bar ) and why Sears always had the sports on all those banks of TV. Wives know how to keep hubby occupied and complacent when she meets him with all her purchases.

My husband is the one who loves to shop. He will go down every aisle of the grocery store – just to look. Drives me nuts. By myself, I will go in get what I want and get out.

I loved the play on words. If you think about it, ‘growl’ rhymes perfectly with ‘bowel’, even tho they are spelled differently. Don’t you just love our language? It’s so much fun.

I do not like to shop with anyone else, mainly because I don’t like to shop. I would like my husband to accompany me to grocery store so he can pick out what he’s in the mood to eat.

Spending hours at a shopping mall, doing nothing but looking at stuff most guys wouldn’t even consider buying is most guys version of a tour through hell. It becomes a serious visit of hell when the person(nearly always of the female persuasion), begins to use our credit card to BUY those items.
