I thought all Pluggers read Hints from Heloise. Heloise knows all, reveals all: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/08/24/AR2009082402849.html
Works like a charm. Her other hint is to stack the folded sheets and pillowcases of one set except for one pillowcase. Slide the stack of sheets and pillowcases into the last pillowcase and fold the open end over (like the flap on an envelope). Now you have an easy-to-store package, and the whole set is together when you’re ready to use it.
folding a fitted sheet is simple math, 4 corners tucked into opposite corner makes 2 corners then tuck them in and make one corner then just fold like top sheet. 4 to 2 to 1
It is actually easy to do. Martha Stewart paid attention to how they are packed when they come from the factory and did a video on how to fold them. So simple to do once you know how.
I’ve known how to do this for years, but I found out yesterday that trying to fold a fitted king-size mattress cover alone is NEARLY impossible, would’ve come out much nicer if I had help like I usually do (or was at least taller than 5’ LOL)

fitted sheets are for non-pluggers

Just fold it, never mind the fitted bits.

Fit the four corners into one another and fold from there. It’ll usually (although, not always) come out the same size as the flat sheet.

Do what I do, roll it up into a ball and lay the flat sheets on top. An the weigh of, the flat sheets flattens the fitted sheets flat.

60 years old, still haven’t gotten it right. You fold a fitted sheet into a semi looks right state, then put it in the closet.

Good idea, keeps everything together.

If anyone is concerned about how a sheet looks, he or she should iron one. My mother did and I learned that nobody ever notices.
