For some reason this strip reminds me of traveling through the South, stopping at a Waffle House, looking at the menu, and inquiring, “Do you have any vegetables?”“Sure,” she said, “we have french fries!”She didn’t think to mention ketchup.

why do we call pickled cucumbers, pickles? but, if we pickle anything else, we call it pickled [food], and, wasn’t the original intent of pickling was to extend the shelf life of that food.
