A hamster might not drop the good food but it will make a good play toy once you put it in its exercise ball…….(how do I do the evil grin?)
Hamsters bite. Maybe a better trade would be a domesticated pet rat. Ratties are clean, do not stink, can’t carry rabies due to a something in their genes thing, and are very smart and loving if they are handled gently.
