Chinese claims to Tibet are not exactly new or terribly different from the way others operate. It’s kind of like the 19th century US take over of the territories of Native Americans. That doesn’t make it OK, of course.

And what about Xinjiang (Chinese for “New territory”), where the Uyghurs, a non-Chinese Turkic people used to be the majority?

It’s hard to feel sympathy towards Tibet, they were much worse off under the Dali Lama. And to top it all off, that slave owning tyrant gets to parade around the world and act like a pious saint for fun and profit.

China only wants contiguous territory, as defined to be in continuous enlarging development. Or, in the old style,“All under Heaven…” China as the engulfing amoeboid form of political action.

Well I certainly don’t condone imperialism, or war for any reason other than to save innocents. However, if we went back and returned all “illegally” conquered lands to their original owners, Greece would pretty much still rule Europe, etc – a historian would be better suited to write this post. The point is, I’m not sure whether that would have been a good or bad thing.

cough, Viet Nam, cough, Grenada, cough, Panama, cough, Egypt, cough, Libya, cough, Afghanistan, cough, Iraq, cough, Nicaragua, cough, Honduras, cough, Guatemala, cough, Iran, hmm, no wonder so many Hall’s drops have been sold in Washington?

Please disregard the mote in the eye that makes our “adventures” just “rescues”, not meddling. LIke our efforts in the same countries China has interest in, like Sudan, competition makes internal, external, like evisceration.

Whole week of strips that even the WaPost has backed away from and their “fact-checker” Kessler has had to do cartwheels to cover that paper’s rear. Facts show that Romney created American jobs and DID NOT outsource jobs while he was at Bain. Trudeau can have tingles like the rest of the MSM but I’m through reading about them. Unsubscribe.

Honey’s reply might have more correctly have been, ‘We expect the same diplomatic courtesy from our friends & allies’ but I guess it wouldn’t fit in the panel…

Actually, he used to claim 100,000 jobs, but when they couldn’t back it up it became “thousands”, and all they ever name is Staples. The rest are probably net losses due to firing.

“Romney outsourced no jobs. That’s from factcheck.org.”Actually that’s not what factcheck.org says, if you read the article carefully. The 3 examples given in an Obama advert are not fully substantiated. But two key points 1) factcheck.org admit they did not check all the Bain subsidiary’s. 2) Two of the examples quoted by the Obama advert, jobs were outsourced but after Romney had left. Having been in a department that has been partialy outsourced, it doesn’t happen overnight, so the planning and agreement in principle to outsourcewill have occured whilst Romney was still at Bain. Final factcheck clearly states that Bain run companies did outsource jobs, and Romney founded Bain, so one assumes the company was following his basic philosophy.Mike
