Heaven forbid you should blow out a flip-flop after the 4th of July! I love the parking meter – it looks like a cross-eyed frog.

The back-to-school stuff started in early July….Merry Easter everybody!

I have to admit, cooler weather sounds kinda nice….Hope we have a nice cold and snowy winter……We deserve it…..

Yup. Feels like summer’s over as soon as the loose leaf binders come out. Boo!

Caufield actually likes school, anyway. Very funny window with Santa in swim trunks and snow flakes falling on the beach.

Yes we just received our faux Christmas tree stock at the store this past week.

And we should be seeing the Halloween stuff any day now.

You mythology buffs know that it’s VERY bad luck(!) to celebrate Xmas any other time.

or, celebrate half xmas in 6/25.

The only stores that should be showing Christmas merchandise now are the hobby and craft stores. I do give them a pass on the ground that if you want to make gifts or decorations you do need to start early. But even they should only be showing raw materials.

I’m sure Caulfield’s teacher is dreading it just as much as he is!

AshburnStadium, That after Labor Day law is the best thing that has happened to our tourist industry. We were starting back to school on the 20th, biting our nose off to spite our face. It brings millions of dollars to the UP….

Last month, a little girl asked my dh if he was really Santa. Christmas is not far from their thoughts, I guess.(He told her he was Santa’s cousin and the family was going to have a reunion. Did she have any message to pass on to Santa? She wanted a puppy. Her grandpa was impressed.)

Yes i saw products for the event on Oct. 31 and Christmas.

AStarofDestiny, let it snow, let it blow…..did I say let it snow? Really really cold snow makes a really weird crunchy ,, kinda squeaky, sound……5º “crunch”. 5º below, more like skreeruncha! Can’t wait….
