My father once tried to tell me that it was possible to dig through to China, but since we had a globe in the house, I was able to tell him that if I did dig straight through, I’d come up in the middle of the Indian Ocean.If you go here, you can find where you’ll come up if you dig from wherever you live through the center of the Earth.Hint: The only places from which you can dig straight through the center to China are in southern South America (roughly south of 19° latitude).
