All politicians have “promising” careers, win or lose. The great thing about a democracy/republic is that we can elect our leaders. The worst hing about a democracy/republic is that we get the leaders that we elect.

The USA wasn’t originally a democracy, it was a federal republic. Big difference.

If 50% of Americans woke up and realized they don’t have to vote for the lesser of two evils propped up and made by the press (and the establishment that owns the press)… If we stopped voting for the evil we’d cut back on the evil.

Summed up best by Douglass Adams:

“Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

Term Limits sounds like a great idea, but we’ve had that in California, and you see how well that’s worked out for us.All they do is term out then have one of their cohorts appoint them to some government bureaucracy job, where they cool their heels for a while before they can run again for something else.It just turns out, when you’ve got crooks in office, and you keep re-electing those same crooks every election cycle, you’re going to get a crooked government. I don’t care whether they’ve got an “R” or a “D” next to their name, the bulk of them are crooks. And that’s all there is to it.
