This might seem out of left field, but there’s a TV show about a half-dozen women with strongly contrasting personalities, the friendship they share, the community they live in and the issues they’re constantly dealing with – that has become extremely popular with a huge number of young men:

Might be good viewing for some of those low self-esteem folks you’re talking about…
Now, to comment on this strip: do I detect a touch of racism? Just a tad perhaps? Maybe a bit of white male bashing to spice it up? Perhaps a smidge of hatred towards what is percieved as a conservatve news network? Nah… The left is far too caring and kind to even consider doing something so dis-tasteful…
Folks, please don’t shoot the messenger. Keef is merely reporting – and accurately – on an Indiana University research study concerning kids, TV watching, and self-esteem.
There also is a great TV show coming out this Winter that has a strong female character as the lead. The series is even named after her. It should be pretty good, but I believe it’s going to be available on Netflix or Hulu first.
Interesting take here. When I watch TV all I see is empowered women and people of color putting down middle aged white men. Especially if they are named DAD.

The only thing I know about Fox News is that my IQ goes down whenever I watch it.
(Entre nous, Keith, it’s “cajole.”

Stop watching Fox News! Please! That comment was pretty dumb already. I don’t think you can afford any more IQ loss.
