Well, dogs and pigs are quite closely related..So, the farmer’s beard is missing it’s string. Perhaps he’s stuck it on, knowing he’d been found out by lots of us.

Another fine example of anthropomorphism – pigs at the trough, Poncho being a little greedier than the average, run-of-the-mill politician…..or maybe not!

I find Farmer Virgil just a wee bit creepy.

And why in the world would you go on vacation to work on a farm? I go on vacation in order not to work.

I thought Virgil had a nasty combover…but it’s the pig slop!!! BTW, just arrived in Montreal last night. Maybe I’ll run into Ponch and the gang.

I never realized Poncho (or any dog or cat) had to be called to dinner. The ones we had were waiting by the dish & watching as I filled it, and started by the time I got it back on the floor.

Poncho as pig food…… Those pigs are omnivorous. Better get out fast, Poncho!

I for one thoroughly enjoyed today’s strip. It made me laugh out loud. Crackerjack.

I think that Farmer Soggybottom ran a ponzi scheme in the US. Now the FBI is on his trail, and he’s hiding out in Canada, hence the cheap, fake beard. If Poncho turns him in, he can get free dog biscuits for life.
