that squirrel just wants your nuts

’nuff said.

My grandmother used to sit in her lawn chair with some seeds and peanuts and squirrels and blue jays would sit on her lap and eat out of her hand. Thank you to the artists for bringing back a very pleasent memory.

Don’t know if I told this earlier on “Rose Is Rose,” but once I was sitting at a picnic table in a campground near Bryce Canyon, eating a sandwich, when I felt a little scrabbling on my lap. It was a little ground squirrel (looks like a chipmunk), that wanted me to share. If Jimbo would eat a tuna sandwich, Peekaboo might be a bit more receptive.

All the squirrels I’ve seen are afraid of humans.

In other words, “Nuts to you, squirrel!”

Maybe Peekaboo wanted Jimbo to pick her up and put her on his lap!

My cats have pulled that snub…but my pooch never says no to a cuddle.

Maybe if Jimbo allowed the Squierrel on his lap then Peekaboo would get jealous.And speaking of laps, my cat is on mine.

It’s when Jimbo doesn’t want the cat near him is when Peek-a-boo jumps up in his lap. You know cats!

@Gokie5, it sounds like the ground squirrel we saw at Mount Rushmore…I think the critters in the busy areas of parks get fed…A lot…And they start looking (begging) for handouts! ;)
