    NO, Had a basset, once. Silly thing would chase jackrabbits and pronghorn when I’d take him walking outside the city limits of Cheyenne. He’d come dragging home after several hours and just drop.

    Unless they bark at you the whole time you’re there. I know of two that do that and it’s really annoying. Can’t have a decent conversation without the owner trying to hush them up.

    my rescue Basset George would be in hog heaven, his mate Terry The Terrorist Terrior would be barking his head off, until someone gave him a biscuit and a pat, then he would stick beside them until they had to leave and the look on his face would be “parting is such sweet sorrow” and then the next time they came over they would expect instant recognition only to get the same treatment again…George is so laidback and Terry is such a loudmouth…lol…gotta to love both of them…
