Nothing’s free today.

jesus saves you money. yes, if you’ve been writing checks to folks on tv, taking the long way home.

Are they saying that the church doesn’t give the best advice?

Do they perform the Grasshopper Opera?

Does that include your tithe ?

And my advice is: don’t park there – there’s a free lot down the street.

Oh so many issues with this comic… “parking fee” wouldn’t apply because the ants don’t drive; there are no cars; Jesus wasn’t born “B.C.” (Before Christ); there’s no parking lot… okay, that’s all I can think of right now.Yes, I KNOW it’s a comic, but that’s just wrong on too many levels to ignore. :-s

Parking is never free – it’s actually quite expensive to build and maintain. Most places, though, wrap that cost into the cost of the goods sold or services provided. Unfortunately, this removes the market’s power to influence decision making by hiding one of the costs of driving, and causes those who travel by an “alternative*” mode to subsidize those who drive.

*Why walking is considered an alternative to driving, rather than driving being an alternative to walking, is beyond my comprehension.

So as I read this: “Best advice, don’t bring your car to church!”
