Considering where else dogs lick, I would not recommend this.
My mother had actually gone to the doctor with a rash all over her cheeks, and the dr., after doing a lot to try to track down a cause, finally got the clue that Mom let the dog lick her face a lot. He advised that this was probably a reaction to bacteria in the dog’s mouth — and sure enough, soon as she stopped letting the dog lick her, the rash cleared immediately.
This nonsense about “a dog’s mouth is cleaner than a human’s” that I hear every so often, really is bunk. It just ain’t so. And if you think about what dogs lick and eat out of the garbage can (or off the 3-month-dead squirrel they find under a bush!) and the fact that they never exactly brush their teeth or use mouthwash, you might figure this out.
I train my dogs not to lick me. One in particular will eat the most disgusting stuff. I also trian them not to roll in icky stuff, only on the grass. It’s not hard to do they want to please.
two guys walking down the street and notice the dog laying on the stoop of a house licking his privates. One guy says, boy i wish I was able to do that. The other answers, a couple of pats on the head and a kind word, he would probably let you.
I once had a severe burn on my leg that was getting worse by the day. My mother-in-law’s dog came along and licked it for half an hour, it was much better next morning and soon healed.

Dogs. Fine creatures. But dog drool, ugh.

If a dog wants to lick you, you’ve got a real friend indeed.

I guess some people are more sensitive than others to dog drool. I’ve never had any such reaction.
