I still call it an ice box guess my age is showing…my grandmother always called the refrig that and I still do.
Of course, the younger generation is too smart to be fooled by semantics.
They should add a new course to the school curriculum: Everyday Stuff From Back Then 101.
I remember my Great Aunt having an icebox, and the ice man bringing the ice. This was back in like 1959 or 1960.
My grandmother (born 1898) always called it an icebox. I still do at times.
