    The character is officially named “Poppin’ Fresh, the Pillsbury Doughboy”, although many people just use the last three words. He’s the advertising icon of The Pillsbury Company, now a division of General Mills (a U.S. food conglomorate). The Pillsbury brand is best known for cake mixes, heat-and-serve foods, and the like. The Pillsbury Doughboy TV commercials usually end with him giggling after being gently poked in the belly.

    oddly enough this used to happen to me on a regular basis when I was a teen and worked at the Publix

    I ‘Pillsbury Dough Boy’ my son all the time….he giggles just like Poppin fresh does.

    Legend has it that the Dough Boy was created by Marty Nodell, creator of the Green Lantern. Props for versatility.
