Years ago in Mad Magazine I read a little thing that said. “It used to be we discussed our problems over coffee & cigarettes. Now those ARE the problems.” Don’t know if he smokes, but coffee definately seems to be a problem with him.
I had problems earlier today too. I was getting the little blue square with a question mark. Later there was a message saying the strip was temporarily unavailable. Now it seems okay. Was the site affected by the caffeine?
Coffee is only a problem if that’s all you drink. Whatever happened to everything in moderation? The latest science (of the year), says that caffeine in moderation is good for you. Too much of anything is bad news.
I hear ya. []Ostensibly, my entire section – myself included – got laid off from what was job #2 for me because of a budget issue, but the reality of the situation was that the three of us were the organization’s “brain trust” and so were next in line to take over should the woman in charge fall down on the job… which she was increasingly doing. []Of course, with us gone, there was no one left to do the work that we were doing. Oops. []As it is, I understand that the person in charge at the time suddenly decided to get married and relocate without leaving a forwarding address. I wonder who took over after that…
I don’t even know what Norm used to do. As I go through the archives, the first time he ever appeared, he was receiving his promotion, and he looked scared. Actually, the way Kyle drew him, he looked like the generally nervous type anyway. But who knows, maybe he was happy as a clam prior to that.
