Republican plan: If you’re not insured, don’t get sick. If you do get sick, die quickly.

Anyone remember who first required this very, very basic and expensive form of national healthcare and made it obligatory by law? Anyone? Try Ronald Reagan.

Strange that because progressive programs cost money, some people immediately think they are bad. Of course programs cost money. You add 30 million more potential patients to the health care system and costs will rise. And it will require more trained doctors and nurses and more hospitals and care facilities built. What, you think your fairy godmother spreads pixie dust? .There is nothing new about this. Putting a man on the moon cost money; the Hoover Dam cost money; the Pacific Railroad cost money; likewise building the Erie Canal and a host of other infrastructure projects with government participation cost money. Taxes went up, people and corporations stepped up to the plate, paid them, and the nation was better off and progressed..Why is it so many think something is bad if it costs money? What is happening? Has the nation lost its will to invest in progressive programs and to progress? Is this what happens when you wage continuous war at a cost of trillions and you have nothing to show for it? Have those with capital lost confidence in the country and only want to safeguard what they have? Is it greed?

Wouldn’t work, there is no free health care. You either BUY insurance or PAY a fine/tax (seriously, HOW are you not understanding that). There is no free. Its the red states that refuse to take part in Obama care that are allowing people free health care. They go to the hospital for FREE care, and the costs are passed on to those with insurance. You CONservatives are such socialists.

The REAL Republican objection IS twofold, 1. The plan WILL be cheaper (even though their “private guys” got another GREAT deal requiring buying PRIVATE policies. but 2. The ACA calls for actually MONITORING these long term ripoff artists in “private practice”, thus potentially reducing their profits.

Single payer would be even MORE effective at “cost/profit reduction”, so couldn’t get off the ground with the “right”.

I suspect the real and malignant purpose, as usual, is to shift the social burden to states where the christian people actually practice their faith rather than use it as a front.

Yes, the GOP would rather the poor be loaded into freight cars and sent to camps. Thank all that is good that the Democrats are there to speak for those who have no voice!

“……The government may now tell you what to do, and if you don’t, they can “tax” you. How are YOU not understanding your freedom is OVER?”.Did this just start? Ever get a speeding ticket? Parking ticket? Hunting out of season perhaps? Maybe a DUI? What about fishing over the limit?

And folks here in Texas wonder why their property taxes are increasing – it’s that line that says “Hospital district” which covers the uninsured. Thanks to the gov, we won’t take federal money (our tax dollars) but will pay more in taxes every year. You really have to be dumb to vote Republican.

“Since Lord Ears and Friends have no plans to do anything about the 11-20 million illegals who will continue bankrupting our hospitals via emergency room visits”“Lord Ears” Had increased deportations over president bush. But do you know why the illegals come here in the first place? People hire them. Try punishing the people who hire illegals. But wait, I forgot. Thats just more government regulation. Also, you know who signed the law saying hospitals HAD to treat people, regardless of their ability to pay? The incredible socialist st reagan. And I’m confused, whats the republican plan to cover everyone AND lower costs?
